As a busy summer came to an end, meager progress was made on the new Cascade Subdivision. Benchwork will be build from the lowest staging level, Eugene, up to Klamath Falls. Construction is a puzzle here as four decks need to be supported without help from the wall. The 2x4 freestanding section I built should do the job, and be a robust cornerstone once anchored into the wall studs.
Next on tap is Eugene staging: subroadbed, trackwork, and wiring.
Hi John,
ReplyDeleteGreat project! I started a similar project as exhibition layout: http://spmountainrailroad.blogspot.nl/ I like your idea of the rainy appearance, it will be challenge to model that.
Good luck, I will follow you! By the way, the picture doesn't show up in your post.

Thanks Ronald. I will work on the pictures, let me know if it happens again in the future. The rain will be fun to work on and I've been thinking about including a light late spring dusting of snow at the summit.
ReplyDeleteStay tuned for more progress and thank you for your interest.
